here's a bunch of fun music loops that will fit right in to your indie game! free to use for commercial use. inspired by NDS/PS1/early Windows era retro music.

credit is not required to use this music but is always appreciated. (as are donations.) if you would like to do so, please credit me as The Bishop and link to this page: https://itsthebishop206.itch.io/. if you end up releasing something that uses this pack, please link it as well; id love to see what you make!

ill be releasing a paid pack with longer tunes, some of which will be more fleshed out versions of the songs included here. if you especially like any of these songs, let me know in the comments. it may influence my decisions.

thank you for listening! <3

I Really Love The Style Of TRUNK_KNOX_GO_BUCK, How Did You Make It?

thanks!! yea i really like that one. i ran a synth arpeggio through a glitch plugin (GlitchMachine's Fracture) for a while, turned knobs while the audio recorded. then i cut a bit that i liked out of the sample, looped it, added drums. hiphop is usually better if you keep it simple so its just the sample, a tambourine, the snare, the kick, drum fill + the synth that comes in the second half. the bass sounds the way it does mostly because of the "speaker" emulation on Image-Line's Distructor, but it's got some other distortion on there as well. you can get the same effect by finding an amp simulator and playing with the wet/dry

great music

thank you!

Just in time I was looking for BGM. I like Tracer Bullet Private Eye, but can you please create a version of it without that female voice.

is there ogg or mp3 pack version???

(5 edits)

yes! the download has both ogg and wav versions of each song B^) i wont be using mp3 files because mp3s add a tiny bit of space at the start of each file, so they cant loop seamlessly
